We are incredibly excited to announce Brooklyn Open Beit Midrash, a new Torah learning series we’re organizing in partnership with Hadar and Luria Academy.
Brooklyn Open Beit Midrash is an opportunity to delve into text-based Torah study in a friendly, communal environment right here in Brooklyn! Over the course of 4 weeks between Pesach and Shavuot, we will explore key themes in the Book of Ruth – starting with the text itself and then diving into excerpts from Midrash Ruth Rabbah, a collection of rabbinic homilies and interpretations.
All sessions will be taught and facilitated by Miriam Lichtenberg and Yael Jaffe, from Hadar’s Advanced Kollel. Brooklyn Open Beit Midrash is designed to be meaningful and accessible for folks of any background – whether you’re a first-time learner or a seasoned hand.
We are generously hosted by Luria Academy in their Upper School Building Beit Midrash on 664 Bergen Street, Brooklyn, NY 11238. Kosher pizza will be served for dinner at 7pm, followed by learning at 7:30!
Brooklyn Open Beit Midrash is also co-sponsored by Altshul, Brooklyn Jews, Kane Street Synagogue, Minyan Atara, Prospect Heights Shul, Shir HaMaalot, and The Other Friday Night!
Whether you’re interested in attending all four sessions, or just one, please RSVP here!
