Clean Slate Act: Promoting Reintegration

A virtual panel discussion presented by the NY Jewish Coalition for Criminal Justice Reform
Information about NY’s pending Clean Slate legislation is here

Clean Slate is about enabling people with criminal convictions to be able to successfully reintegrate into society by sealing criminal records within a certain amount of time after someone’s sentence has concluded. Currently, people with criminal convictions are regularly denied jobs, housing, access to financial resources & more indefinitely which is crippling and condemns people to perpetual punishment. Enabling redemption and return is a critical Jewish value and Jews in NY should lend their support to this legislation.
