HEBREW SCHOOL TEACHER

We are seeking a Hebrew School teacher for our outdoor Hebrew School program to begin in mid-April and last through the end of the school year. Friday afternoons, 3:00-5:00.

Ideal candidates will have teaching experience in a Jewish educational setting, enthusiasm for working with children, passion, and a demonstrated comfort and facility with Hebrew language and Jewish content. This iteration of our Hebrew School launched in 2019-20 with a single multi-age room before successfully going remote until this December. Now, we seek a new educator to guide us through the return to in-person education. Candidates will have the opportunity to work with involved parents to help grow the program, and design fun and experiential, learning experiences to meet the needs of diverse learners. The teacher, and all children, will be masked throughout the program, and we will work with the teacher and parents to establish a shared understanding of appropriate distancing measures.

Our program will focus on Hebrew, Tefillot, and Jewish Holidays. Children will enter the program this spring with varying degrees of fluency in alef-bet.
