You are about to embark on an exciting adventure as you join learners from the Brooklyn Collaborative in studying with the Florence Melton School of Adult Jewish Learning.  Dedicated to providing a solid foundation of adult Jewish education to learners worldwide, the Florence Melton School has proven to be an experience that changes lives and shapes communities. OMG, Can You Believe?!

In this 6-week exploratory course, we’ll dive into the BIG questions around God and God’s relationship to Humankind. We’ll examine the many different understandings of God, free will, and mitzvot expressed by Jewish philosophers, rabbis, leaders past and present – and you.  We’ll explore the divine, the prophetic and even the supernatural, as we amplify and dissect your deepest God-questions.  Just do not expect to leave with any final answers.

We Are What We Remember

During this 4 part series led by Rabbi Heidi Hoover and Rabbi Sam Levine, we will explore the impact of collective memory on our ongoing historical development and our understanding of Judaism today. We will encounter in a number of different ways, one of the most powerful keys to Jewish survival: the enduring determination to never forget.
