Over 250 immigrants were placed in a local shelter in January without adequate food access, cooking facilities or resources. The city response has not met the need and people are going hungry.

Flatbush Jewish Center members and other neighborhood volunteers are helping to provide meals on Sundays, to supplement other local organizations that are also stepping up to meet the need. If you would like to help assist with:

• meal prep hosting
• meal prep helping
• driving food to the shelter in Gowanus
• donating other needed items
